That is correct. The solution I provided in a previous append does work on my Palm Treo. However, it does not work on my wifes Instinct. I cannot figure out a solution and Sprint is of absolutely no use either. They don't even think they have a problem with disconnecting their email servers. I told them well wait until some time after Jan 1, 2009 when the complaints start rolling in and people start canceling their service and go to a competitor who can meet their needs.

I put a call into Samsung looking for help with the Instinct. They were even less helpful. so maybe next year they will rename the model and call it Extinct.

But will keep looking for a solution (for a little while anyway) otherwise this phone will wind up back at Sprint.
