Re: Diamond Meltdown

I haven't had a melt-down, but noticed that the lower/chipset part of the phone gets slighly warm and stays warm when I'm at my house, where coverage is poor, and the battery burns through very quickly. When I'm at my office, the battery lasts much longer. It is understandable that poor coverage = more battery use, but the Diamond is especially bad.

I also noticed, unlike the Touch, PIE somehow keeps the data connection alive and if not shutdown, it will also eat battery and keep the lower back of the phone warm (= killing battery).

The VGA screen has more transistors than QVGA, but it seems like the phone's radio is also less efficient then the Touch. It's disappointing.
