Re: I will defect soon!!!

I've used USBModem ($20.00) on the last 3 phones and never charged an extra penny.

A friend of mine has a stock Verizon Touch and uses it. If he uses it in Bluetooth mode a web page like you get at hotels for wifi access popped up asking him to sign up for thethering.

When he used it with the USB Cable he just connected right through.

In otherwords if Verizon can detect it, it immediately tells you (there may be other ways with other hacks).

But USBModem has been so simple. I not had to change a thing on the PC, I just connect and click Dialup sprint and I'm on. I can switch between my wifes Q phone, it doesn't matter. It could not be easier.

I never abuse the bandwidth on the device or when tethered.

I don't use it enough to justify a plan. I may go 3 months without using it then need it for 3 days because DSL got knocked out something.

As far as getting the phone I love it. But this overheating thing is SERIOUS and not acceptable.
