CALNOT.EXE causing Notification Problems

Greetings all,

I am a noob so please forgive me if my post is not accurate but I wanted to share some of my observations...

I have been having problems with my notification queue since I purchased my 6700 (WM5 now with the AKU 3.5 ROM), specifically with the first notification of the day not waking up the device, in my case that notification is my alarm. This has caused me to be late to work for the first time in 17 years! I have tried MANY different things to fix it, using the wakeup tweak, different alarm programs, removing the SD card, cleaning the notification queue, etc... I have done many searches and it seems that many others have the same problem but there has been no clear cut solution offered.

I believe that I may have found the root cause - In my notification queue, there are a few entries that run at night occasionally, two of which are calupd.exe and calnot.exe. From what I have read, these are to clean up some of the calender entries and notifications - all fine and good.

But what I have noticed is that the entry for calupd.exe is "\windows\calupd.exe" and the entry for calnot.exe is "CALNOT.EXE" and it does not include the "\windows\" directory pointer. The same goes for clocknot.exe and repllog.exe but they do not run as often. Can I assume that this means it is trying to run the .exe in the root directory and errors when it cannot find the file? The error apparently hangs the queue and prevents it from waking up when another notification comes due.

Does anyone know where this notification entry comes from and how it can be modified to include the correct directory path? Or maybe a simple solution would be to copy/move calnot.exe and clocknot.exe to the root directory?

On a personal note, I must say that AKU 3.5 ROCKS!
