on a second note; i did notice that my external gps is under system instead of connections like it was sated in the troubleshooter in 1st post, not sure but i think i remember seeing with new rom update it said it wuz supposed to move exteral gps into the connections tab, but mine is still in settings/system tab..... dont know if that has anything to do with my problem
if u had the zip file with the 4 cabs then it will be in system, the cab i made moves it to connections. this doesnt make a difference where it is.

i have updated the 1st post. u will need to check it again. it has all the trouble shooting steps. if it doesnt work then u are doing something wrong or have done something wrong. all u need to do is install a cab and soft reset. i dont know what to say other then read the troubleshooting section. read it again very carefully and dont skip over it. if u resolve ur issue please share what u did. perhaps u have a problem that i am unaware of. good luck
