Does the diamond have gps,that works out the box?

The speed of the GPS seems way faster than the instinct, and has no issues for me in finding me when I'm in doors. I haven't had a chance to really test out its turn by turn accuracy, but there are many people who have here and XDA. Sprint Nav gets mixed reviews, many third party apps get a lot of love. So far I think sprint nav out of the box is way better on the Diamond.

If so is it voice turn by turn?
Yes.

Does it have visual voicemail?
No.

Is it really slow like i read on some reviews?
I'm using the sprint rom. Which is slower than some of the new brewed Roms like the one from Juciey. Personally, its not any slower to me than my Instant was. It is slower than the Iphone, but its not really a problem to me.

Is the hot battery a problem or is it being fixed?
Not sure. But the battery does get hot. It doesn't bother me in terms of use, but I do worry it might damage the phone later on.
