sigh.

Hard reset only resets the operating system on your phone. When you use QPST, you're programming the chip in the phone to use those setting. All you have to do to set them back to default, is change them yourself. If you need to return the phone, who cares? Sprint's never going to check that you enabled the GPS.

And yes, these 'hacks' enable and set the Assisted-GPS, allowing your data connection to download data pertaining to the approximate location of satellites, allowing you to quickly lock on to them.
