I'm with Bell and am using a rom made from the 20748 ppckitchen with Bell as carrier. I'm using English Rom but have added this cab that allows me to view chinese and type in chinese. I can read emails sent to me in chinese but the problem is sending email/sms in chinese and also receiving sms in chinese. I can send and reply to msn on my phone in chinese.
I've already tried everything in this thread to make unicode (chinese) work for sms and email but havent been successful. I even tried what you wrote earlier above. I already have that microsoft inbox setting, but doesnt help and I changed my msg type to 4 (8 bits + unicode) but that didn't do anything.
Any ideas on how to get this working? I'm tempted to try the rom you uploaded before to see if text is working there but then I don't want to reflash my radio as I think that came with a radio. Am I mistaken about that?
Also, since you're here, any ideas on how to get the chinese ime from the rom?
