Activesync restores your data, like tasks, contacts, notes, or whatever you have selected with Activesync. It does not restore your apps, ringtones, or device settings (brightness, sound level, etc.). To do that, then you would need to use backup software, like Sprite Backup or Sbp Backup. Unfortunately, if you use backup software and some app screwed up your phone, then restoring it will probably make it do the same.

Otherwise, do the following:
1. Perform an Activesync
2. Delete the Activesync partnership
3. Perform a hard reset
4. Partner your device and PC with Activesync
5. Synchronize your data with Activesync
6. Reinstall your apps
