Re: Sprint Diamond New plan or original plan

People are continuing to post "But the Sprint rep I talked to said that it takes a new plan!" What Sprint said is not true.

Yesterday I called Retentions and was told that the Touch Diamond required a new plan (we have a great, old grandfathered plan). I told her that I have read in many internet forums that what she said is not true. That if you have a data plan it's OK. She still held her ground - a new plan is required. I told her to put me on hold and go check with someone. She came back and said "Well ... technically speaking it will work. You just can't do everything."

Everyone in this thread seems to be uselessly debating whether the T-D requires a new plan or not -- it doesn't! No one has discussed a more important point -- what you _can't_ do with it if you keep your old plan. That's what is really important! Let's see if we can figure this out. That will help people decide whether they _want_ to keep their old plan or not.

GPS with turn by turn directions. Not just GPS "here is where I am". Isn't that a $10/month feature? Not sure I need it though, I have a great GPS in the car.

Video mail. I don't know if I would use this.

What else is in the Simply Expensive/Everything Plan that is unlikely to be in grandfathered plans?
