So get over yourself.
As a temporary bandaid sure, and if you want to disable it that's fine, but don't act like the phone misses calls in sleep mode because that is pure speculation on your part. Giving that as advice to people who do not have SOD problems (no2 has fixed that already) is completely silly. Do what you want but not being able to put the phone in sleep is an utter deal breaker for most people (as it should be, these are designed to be in sleep mode most of the time). The fact that you have "tested" and your phone misses calls I do not buy at all, and even if you have, you certainly cannot say for sure the phone would have gotten those calls if it wasn't in sleep. If there was a serious problem with the phone waking up when calls come in, there would be tons of postings on the forum about this (as there have been with some buggy roms). I was simply saying without a specific problem disabling sleep mode is certainly bad advice (and since it has been fixed there is no problem). The phone does NOT have problems with missing calls in sleep mode under normal circumstances. The radio is still active in sleep mode and will wake the phone.

FYI it is you who needs to get over yourself, don't act like you're the only one with important calls. Just saying. Many of us are on call and/or have important phone calls coming in. I wasn't making any personal attacks before and I'm not sure why you felt the need to. I'm sure if someone has a "tech support emergency" with one of their laptops they'll call twice anyways.

I think this has been fixed for a while actually, but I don't use the alarm so I couldn't say for sure. The only real disadvantage is greatly reduced battery life when you are not using it (and additional wear and tear on your battery). If you're getting acceptable battery life with your extended battery without sleep and your alarm isn't functioning when it goes to sleep then I'm sure there isn't another downside, but like most people here I have enough problems keeping my battery charged . My only point of posting was to point out that the device normally doesn't have a problem missing calls when sleeping and that that was a silly reason for disabling sleep.
