Good points. I think Nvidia will sell the chips to the phone manufacturers and it's up to them which OS they wanna install. In the prototype case, They pick Windows CE 5 which is basically WM6. The UI is just gonna run on top of WM. Meaning, it's like a plugin Like,touchflo HTC created.. U can put whatever is available on the time of release. If U watch the older youtube videos, U can see that the UI has evolved already. it's nicer now than before. Nvidia showcase the power of the chip by building a 3D UI using openGL that runs on top of winCE. Who could have thought it's posible? even Iphone or any other phone cannot do that because they don't have a dedicated GPU, an HD and audio decoder onboard. Which make the tegra ahead of the game. So with the UI on top of WM7, it will only make things better. WM7 will optimize the 3d engine of the device. Or whatever OS it will run.

Bill gates once said on his keynote, the PC's specs will go down, and the phones specs will go up. Then they will meet at the middle. With the release of countless nos. of UMPC's and the release of phone's like Touch HD, We are getting close to Gates vision. I am pretty confident that the Tegra is the life form of that vision. Nvidia's plan is computer 1st, Phone 2nd. with that being said, It's already on the top of the game coz phone is just a function of the computer. Unlike devices now(A phone with multimedia function, a phone with browser, a phone with youtube). which is why Tegra will shut down the phone game like what mah man torx said.
