From my experimenting I've found that you need the HTC Streaming Media App. to make YouTube work properly. I found it at this link which is provided by WDM along with other Apps. you might need.

I also found that to have YouTube launch videos into the Streaming Media App. directly from their page using Opera, I had to install Opera 9.5 (build 195
after installing the cab for streaming.
