Have you used it to get the discounts that they offer?
They show you discounts/freebies in your area, display a bar code on your ppc screen/along with the barcode numbers.
How does it workout for you?
Can you report that the barcode they show on your ppc is able to be scaned at the register and "bingo" instant freebie/discount?
I'm really interested in this one. I know the IPhone does work at airports when scanning the barcode for the boarding pass.
While we were at blockbuster we had a free rental voucher on our account, we went into our blockbuster account, showed the barcode to the cashier, I asked him to see if he could scan it. He tried on both our phones, one running pie, the other running opera, it didn't scan on either, although he wacked the scanner a few times for good measure
, but no scan. He just typed the code into the computer and 1 freebie right on the spot.
I'm wondering if we put a plastic/rubber (google sheild zone) screen protector on the screen it would help the laser scan it better?
I think this is interesting.
