I agree, the radio is far from a deal breaker, heck for me it would have been a total waste. But I really don't think that was the entire issure. As stated, it probably cost more to remove it than to keep it...so why not leave it? I understand removing the front camera as it would make a sizable cost difference. I can almost understand changing the back (just to be different from everyone else.) But the radio removal leaves me mystified. Yeah, there is Sprint radio which has stations a local radio can not receive so that really isn't competition. Maybe they simply didn't want another piece of hardware that could coincidentally fail when the next HTC phone upgrade arrives.
