Perhaps they are releasing the 6800 like this because they have plans on an early release of something else (6900) soon afterward.
I need to read more about the new technologies coming out in regards to increasing EVDO bandwidth. I wonder if we will be able to take advantage of this with our 6700's without changing anything, or if a swap of radio files might make it possible.
