abovelegit - thanks for your input - I agree brains wise so to speak they are very close - to me what makes it so much better is the LARGER screen - about twice the screen surface area for typing if my old high school math using a right triangle formula is correct.
The larger surface area will really make it much better for me as the keys on my screen keyboard will be much larger so it will be easier for me to type since I don't type that often every day but when I do it will be handy. It will allow me to have a larger keyboard but still see more of what I'm typing at the same time. OK - I'll admit browsing the web, checking my e-mail and everything else will be easier - as I'm approaching that age when many people start to need reading glasses.
The other thing I like is the 1350mah battery like the diamond has without having to be as thick as the diamond needed to be for the CDMA version to have a 1350mah battery.
The standard headphone jack is a little plus.
I don't know if wvga means much to me as I'll have to see how soon applications will be available to take advantage of it and not have compatability issues.
One last thing I like about the HTC Touch HD - Sprint hasn't tainted it yet with a fugly red back
So for me the key items are - thinner, larger screen keyboard, better browsing.
