In a couple years, I would be surprised if much more then the network channels remains in analog.

In other words, all the posts saying "nothing to worry about" are false. There is a lot to worry about with regards to analog channels over cable lines. Just two weeks ago I noticed Comcast removed 3 analog channels from my lineup...

Auctualy Comcast has a sh?*t load of money tied into keeping analog alive for a few more years to come. They will hav analog untill they deciede to stop please the 90+ year old crowd that doesn't want a cable box. Yes we do keep moving channels out of analog to make room for more hd and digital channels. 1 analog channel is = 3-5 hd / digital channels. The FCC mandate was only for over the air broadcasts (rabbit ear / antenna reception), not cable systems. Cable systems eitehr take a digital channel and pump it through a scopus box or take the analog channel right from the reciever and push it out.

Aren't we getting off topic here?
