The command prompt on the computer (Sony laptop using XP) says I should see 3 color screen showing soft spl and that I should disconnect & reconnect device. Maverick's directions say that when I see the bootloader screen to run titan_radio_3.35.04.exe, so I do but I don't disconnect & reconnect. During (or just before) the radio program is "verifying the info on your PDA phone...please wait" activesync disconnects and then I get "Error [260]: connection" and it gets stuck in bootloader.
Then I have to disconnect and reconnect and run titan_exitbl.exe to get out of bootloader.
I tried just following the Olipro 2.40 directions (w/ disconnect & reconnect which also disconnects activesync) which runs a previous version of the radio program, but then during the execution of the radio program, a screen says
PDA phone rom update utility 5.16.4.2
current infomation about your PDA phone:
From: Image version:
To: Image version: 5060
Then, if I keep going, I get percentage completed bars on the phone and the computer, but it the gives me an "Error 262: update error"

Following the Olipro 2.40 directions, by itself, does not install any version of the radio; it installs nothing but the Olipro Hard-SPL unlocked bootloader. Nothing else. It does use the Rom Update Utility for the second step of the process. The Rom Update Utility From Image Version should be blank and the To Image Version should say Hard-SPL_2.40. Somehow you are picking up a different RUU with a 5060 ROM image in it.

I believe the instructions here say that step 4 is to run the Olipro Hard-SPL install, and to follow the instructions of that install to the letter; when it is completely finished, and you are on the resulting bootloader screen, then you proceed with step 5.
