Yes they will know. No, they don't seem to be enforcing/going after people breaking the TOS. Yes, it works fine. No, you should not download 10,000 songs, or every linux ISO you can find. Yes, this question is asked every other day. Yes, you could have found this answer by searching. Yes, there is probably a reg-edit (or cab, or mortscript) you should find and run/install/apply which might or might not help with disconnects and/or more ham-fisted detection methods. No, that still won't prevent them from "knowing". Yes, they still don't seem to care. No, there is no 5GB cap.
