Yes, there is probably a reg-edit (or cab, or mortscript) you should find and run/install/apply which might or might not help with disconnects and/or more ham-fisted detection methods. No, that still won't prevent them from "knowing". Yes, they still don't seem to care. No, there is no 5GB cap.
