Speculation: I would be extremely surprised if they did more than a couple basic advertisements if even that much.

This is not a flagship phone. People who are interested in SmartPhones might research and find out about the phone on their own. I don't see Sprint spending a lot on this phone. They aren't subsidizing it any more or less than any other Smart Phone.
