I believe it's because I use the program phonealarm... it allows you to store the ringtones on your storage card and reads them from there... I try not to store much on my phone itself, and have about 100 ringtones (all from this site ) and have no problems with them or the program reading them... there is, however, one hitch... you have to purchase the program 'phonealarm' from pocketmax.com... it's the only program I have ever purchased and really couldn't survive without it... Although codyppc did create TREOALERT and it might replace phonealarm, but I haven't checked it out because I have paid for phonealarm and can't see myself paying for something and not using it...
