Two questions....
First- do you have a previous backup that did not work, that may be corrupt? Sometimes a corrupt backup will interfere with future attempts. I had that problem, and once I deleted all but the backup I KNEW was good, my next one went smoothly.

Second- Have you tries the SPB forums? I have gotten a lot of useful info off of there!!
