I own both WAD and WA2 but like 6700Yuma said WAD is a massive resource hog and freezes my 6700 more than doing anything useful. You dont need WAD to install WA2. I believe you DO need WA2 in order to install WAD. Make sure you have to correct files from the web site.. Might try downloading them again.
