Not sure about the text errors. I have not seen them. I do remember them from way back when I first got my 6700, but I do not remember what I did to fix it. Hate to say it, but perhaps another hard reset is in order.
dennygum, unfortunately I have found that NotifyMe will go off every time the SD card is unmounted and not just removed physically. You can disable it and if that doesn't work you can go to \Windows\Startup and remove the link there.
