Dont forget to flash 2.40 or 2.47 after the ROM. thought i'd add that in.
as for upgrading (or downgrading to .40), ive really seen no difference between .40 and .50. i thought .40 had faster gps locks at first but it was most likely placebo. i ran both for a while and stuck with .50, it being the latest.
