So I have been following the many Diamond release threads and I still think much of this is speculation, even by Sprint employees; here's why. I manage a very large Sprint account for my company, approximately 3,500 lines (right now 99% Treos with a few Moguls and Touches). After reading about all the different dates I finally pinged my rep about the release of this device and this is his response:
(Me) Do you have any release information on the HTC Diamond? I am finding a lot of release info on the web and would like to add this device to my Windows Mobile testing.
(Rep) It was communicated to us yesterday (8/2
that the launch date is 9/2 for the HTC Diamond. We have an internal call on the 2nd for the launch of this product.
So unless this means they are being given the specifics on the 2nd for the launch later in the month I am not sure what to make of all the conflicting info and dates.
Either way it looks like we'll definately have it this month so take it for what it's worth.
