This happens when you try to dissassemble a rom built with the "easy bake oven" PPCKitchen, attempt to change it, then attempt to reflash it using dogguy's kitchen (aka vogue kitchen tools). It's new tools vs. old tools and some folks use the above as sorta protection so no one else can grab their rom and change it....
No worries, put your phone in bootloader mode and reflash a stock rom, or reflash a rom as downloaded. |
I swear all I did was unlock it and flash the DH rom like I described above
I tried what you suggested this morning but no luck. I've been having a problem where I can't use the stock rom exe. I double click, it opens, starts extracting, then says this file is corrupt and then closes. I've downloaded like 10 different versions and they all do the same thing. I will try the link you suggested but if it's the one from this forum I'm guessing I'll have the same result.
Is there any reason that what I've described would happen based on:
1. Unlocking the Vogue
2. Flashing the DH rom
Looking back I think you're right and the Sprint Stock rom is the step I missed. Seems I have a computer problem since I can't use these stock .exe files.
Is there an official rom in the form of Rom Update Utility ? This thing works perfectly for me. I appreciate your time in thinking about this
