Hi Frank. I had the same issue yesterday and GGuru guided me to download the .rar file manually. Go to ppckitchen.org/download (after login in) there download the .rar for the ROM you want to use for cooking. Then save that .rar in the ppckitchen/rom/kitchen folder...you should be good to go.
