I'm not sure what the difference is...I didn't really try the new bell rom that much since iGO wouldn't start for me, so I just reflashed a kitchen rom right after. I still got good gps signal when I didnt have data blocked/off but when I did block/turned off data, it wasn't as good.

Whether it's because of AGPS or something else I don't know. All I know is that data does seem to help with having more sats and more locks and stronger signals.

Are you using the Bell rom right now? Have you tried turning off data, as well as blocking data with "no data" or something similar? See if you get just as fast a lock with as many locks and see as many sats as when data is on. Do this from a cold start since once you get a lock it seems to already know which sats are around the area. This caused me to think all was ok, but after I started experimenting, I've noticed a difference when data is on/off.

I'm not sure if it's something in the registry or not...AGPS or something else.
