while results of the last test are pending, let me just make some things clear:

MPU = memory protection unit

this means the spl can't be patched via normal methods, and unless theres someone out there that knows how to patch it that has a device, or someone with a lot of time on their hands with a device that I can spend several hours testing stuff on, the SPL will probably have to wait until i get a device...

which of course, is a slight problem given sprints' delays and the availability of the device here in the states =p
