my opinion:
if you dont believe that an official build can be better (f@ck the smaller numbers the build comes with) , try out JDs rom which is based on 19208 with modules from other builds that he knows wont botch anything up.

once you try that rom, youll know the difference between real speed gains and placebo speed gains you think youre getting from going from 20270 to 20273 or whatever other moves youre making.

...not even getting into battery management, ram management, or stability. find out for yourself

sigh... have you tried dcd's latest? I don't think there is any rom out there I haven't tried and I still say it is faster, better memory, and extremely stable. I hardly ever soft reset and thats saying a lot since I used to have to do it all the time. There were issues with the 19208 and the 20270 that dcd has never had (bar at the bottom hiding or not displaying stuff).

Meh, it all comes down to "to each his own". Everyone has their preferences and can be set in their own ways. What really matters I guess is what works out best for each person.

I do think that some of the things people are saying about the official buildOS should be looked at by the team from a positive standpoint. Not saying that it is bad, but maybe look at some of the things some people are saying and try to improve it based on that. Of course the application is provided for free, and I am still grateful for that. With that said, I do miss the practically daily updates to each rom base back from the WM 5 apache days. The focus was always on core functionality vs adding in custom appliactions. I still think we have some great people on here putting out some awesome applications and work that you cannot find anywhere else.
