I'm trying to build a custom ext. rom for my vx6700 that I flashed to cricket.

THe problem's that I'm trying to solve are these:

Whenever I do a hard reboot, the phone overwrites a few settings in EPST, specifically, it changes the HDR AN AUTH User ID, the PPP UserID, and PPP password, all located under the security tab in EPST. Also, under M.IP profiles, it changes the number of profiles and the MIP_Mode.

I need to know if there's a way to correct this, via the registry, or any other method.

Also, I have to create a special modem connection for WAP access. Is there a way to save these settings permanently, or to create a cab that will input these settings with minimal user input?


Edit:This all happens strictly upon hard reset. I do not ever allow the verizon customizations to install.
