Wow the Telus version seems noticebly faster than any other ROM version I have ever seen of this phone (and I've watched a ton of videos and hacks of this phone on Youtube). When he clicks on photos there is zero lag in loading up the first photo (still too much lag in scrolling the photos though), when he turns the phone the accelerometer has zero lag and immediately reorients the photo (every other demo I've seen of the Diamond lags and is somewhat unresponsive), when he clicks on Opera it opens up immediately with zero loading time. The accelerometer performance in Opera was disappointing, but the page was still loading as he was trying to change orientation.
Regarding the hardware I think the screen looks amazing and the curves on the front look nice, but the phone overall looks a bit bland without the diamond back. The thickness is perfectly acceptable for a phone of this type, but it's thickness is no longer impressive when put up against iPhone 3G. With a smaller screen and larger battery this should have much better battery life than iPhone, but who knows.
