Re: OMJ's 3.03 WM6.1 Custom Touch ROMs w/ User Customization! Updated 8/11/08

I also have problems with Bluetooth.

Internet sharing over USB, ActiveSync via USB or Bluetooth works without any problems. But working with Internet Sharing via Bluetooth almost impossible.

I’m using Notebook with “Broadcom 2045 Bluetooth device” and Windows XP installed. My Vogue has OMJ.3.03.08.Custom firmware. I’m using Vogue only for internet access and GPS functions.

I had tried the following solutions to get Internet sharing works posted in this thread:

Quote:
UPDATE: After trying a few things, renaming "rilphone.dll" to "rilphone.dll1" did the trick.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\InternetSharing]
"Extension"="rilphone.dll"
Quote:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\BTPAN1\Parms]
"ConnectionTimeout"=dword:00007530
"BusType"=dword:00000000
"BusNumber"=dword:00000000
Finally after dozen attempts of pairing/un-pairing adding/removing ports enabling/disabling ActiveSync and putting Bluetooth in Discoverable/Connectable mode I got internet sharing via BT works. But that was not for long, after next reboot or ActiveSync synchronizing it stops work again.

By the way it when you are trying to pair Vogue from Notebook, Vogue ask passcode for 2 times and always give me error message on 2nd ask: “your device didn’t connect to mobile the connection failed or the passcode is incorrect”. If you are pairing Notebook from Vogue all passcode check is performed as it should.

Finally I had seen the following errors trying to run Network Access from my Notebook:

“error creating network access point connection with device Vogue”

“the network access connection failed: your device is busy, please wait and try again”

“the network access failed: no local Bluetooth device was detected”

+ some error about incorrect pairing

I was also trying to get internet access from Notebook using Dial-Up Networking, but also without success.

No gadget takes so many time and energy for me as this Vogue. I’m really disappointed because there are the problems to work with such simple things.
