exactly what the person above me said. I have a Touch and just recently came upon another one that needed to be replaced (scratches on the housings, i like my electronics clean) so used my ESRP part of TEP to have the one Touch swapped out and then while i was waiting for that one to come in, i switched back to my original touch and had something happen to it and had to have that one swapped, all in a two week time period. pretty much what i comes down to is whichever ESN is active at the time of claim is what they will replace.
