I have also tried to connect to hotspots that have already worked after my service is suspended to see what happens and it only says "connecting" for a few seconds then switches to "disconnecting" immediatly then gos back to "connecting". this will just keep repeating till you manually turn off wifi or till the battery drains.. My thoughts are that sprint may have "locked" wifi on the 6800 because people wouldnt have to use sprints service to get online when they can get it for free from all the hotspots across the country, In my area (Mpls suburbs) there are entire towns covered with free wifi. As free wifi grows, ppl could just use the voice plan and save some money..or even use VIOP and not pay for a cell carrier at all.. I doubt sprint would want that....Just my guess... Im no expert but seems to make sence given the info ive read and sprints reputation for giving away stuff for free then realizing they can charge for it, then taking it away...(i used to tether my home PC with my old flip phone with a cable and installation CD bought from the sprint store when wireless web first came out.. it was free other than the $60 for the cable and CD Rom and didnt use any minuites.. then They stopped selling the web kits and started charging.. .. Seems to be the same stuff.. differant decade....... Any PPC Geeks out there that can confirm or disprove this??????

I had the same problem my phone was disconnected last week and it still would not allow wifi to connect when i was clearly on a network even the browser/apps using the internet would force an error stating no connection
