I could be wrong but I think you guys are experiencing a placebo effect ... my reason for saying this is because my driver line on some of my roms read

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\D3DM\Drivers]
"LocalHook"="d3dm_ati.dll"

meaning I had added the diamond d3dm drivers there are no differences in my performance from the htc_d3dm.dll ......

like I said I could be wrong but I may have even read some where that this local hook driver have something to do with the camera and that is about it
