Just an FYI (and to others as well), in 1.14 Beta 2 available on ATEKSoft's website,
CooCamera now supports flash 
No surpise, it actually works better than the standard camera app--you just set it to work by default.. Everytime you snap a pic it quickly comes on, takes the pic and shuts off again...works very well.
There is also a neat thing on noise-reduction and "accumlation" whereby the program will take numerous shots quickly and then "overlay" them on top of each other, reducing noise. go read about it...really neat stuff!
