There are all kinds of troublesome registry entries inside mxip provisioning files that are wreaking havoc on chefs. The today settings you seek to disable are located inside mxipupdate_oemoperators_102.provxml file located in the OperatorPKG directory. They are in XML format if you are comfortable editing them... mxip files reload certain settings upon hard/soft reset. So if you have a problem, call sprint, they tell you soft reset and the many mxip files fix the problem... Cube settings, today settings, and many others. I plan another informational tutorial on the tricky contents and what is safe to delete...
