In your PDA go to start then go to settings then go to system then click on device information and make sure you have ROM version 2.07 which is the latest upgrade.The latest upgrade manual it's posted in our website

So it would seem that my new xv6700 came with the latest update. It was a painful way to get it, but it works well.
