I take it you are running on verizon? My question would be did you let the customizations run if so you are now running on sprint. When you flash the rom from DCD's do not let the customizations run on your verizon phone you will also need to make sure and run the verizon cab file after you do the rom upgrade. After you do all of this then dial *228 option 2 and update your prl and you should be fine. I am running 3.2.5 with the radio rom 3.42.50 and have no problems dialing or using the phone after following these procedures. I don't have any idea what removing the battery would have to do with doing the rom upgrade. Hope this helps.
