LOL! I'm just the opposite! I wanted to GET RID of the battery meter icon, since I now use the Vista battery meter. I tried setting it to 1 but it indeed caused the dialer app to pop up. That being no good, I set to 2 and after reset noticed that the battery icon is now gone but the time in the title bar stays in place (I believe due to the HHC or some other command). Which is fine by me.
