In one of the read me files it mentions having the USB connected with activesync to do the ROM upgrade but I have never been able to get activesync to connect to the device so can it be done off the miniSD card instead?
Also, where do I actually get WM6.1, is it included in the rar file from PCKitchen or do I have to buy it somewhere? Anyone?
BuildOS is really pretty simple to use. Most people just read up on it and then dive in. You'll make a few mistakes at first, but you'll be happier in the end. And, no, you don't have to buy WM6.1. There are prebuilt WM6.0 or WM5 roms, but you'll need to search for them.

However, if you're having Activestink issues, you'll probably need to resolve that first. Search on here for things you can do to fix that.
