Well, Im not Verizonguy... but if it were me and I just got my new 6700 in the mail, I would put insurance on it
, activate it, make sure its up to date and running smooth... then flash rom's to your hearts delight.
As far as what you need to do to flash your phone, just search for the information on putting your phone in bootloader mode. Good luck.
