Thanks for the default.txt, but what release of android are you using? The newest one I found (someone on this thread created a .cab) doesn't include initrd-android. I'm sure I could rename initrd.gz and try, but I'm guessing that won't work, otherwise you would have just stuck with that file name. What assumptions are you making?
When I try to use it as best I know, I get:

If I 'ls /sdcard', I can see the contects of my SD card so I know it's reading it. Seeing that, I decided to delete /sdcard/system and /sdcard/system.gz and try again. Now I get an error about /sdcard/system.gz NOT existing. Guess I'll uninstall/reinstall to see if the installer is placing files there.
