If your BT is just in "standby" it uses almost 0% power.

If in a phone call, < 3% increase in battery consumption .

So there is something else going on with your phone.

I ran my 1500mAh battery yesterday with Push email, auto-update weather (4hrs) and BT in a low signal environment on for nearly 15 hours and was still at 50%.

(BTW, I use the Plantronics 640 Discovery headset and love it.)
