Then run googlemaps go Menu > Options > GPS settings and click on "set manually" and in the drop down box select the com port that you chose above. There's also a way for you to allow Windows to automatically select it, but why do that when you already know that it's COM4.
Then hit Menu > Use GPS and on the upper right corner it should give you the status of locking in sats and how many are active.

I did these steps and i was told no gps receiver was found Etc etc etc....What am I to do? Anymore advice?
