That's weird, are you sure you can't add it? I had my Moto Q for about 3-4 months before I called up Sprint and asked one of the reps if they could add on the equipment insurance. She was more than happy to. I'd call and check again.
I was thinking about getting rid of the insurance when I got my Mogul, but I kept it just in case. Besides, I can't complain about price considering I have a SERO plan.
