I would not go to a store. They are a separate entity and have nothing to do with the insurance. You might get it replaced, but with a refurb phone. Call Assurion and file a claim for damaged phone. When I did this last time they were going to send out a refurb phone. I insisted that I get a New phone since I have had issues with refurb phones in the past. This was true, but they are only obligated to send a new phone if a refurb is not available. If you stick to your guns, you'll get a new one. The old phone needs to be flashed back to a sprint ROM since it has to be returned. If you dont return it they will bill your account $200 equipment fee.
